Bachelor Degree in B.E or B.Tech in the field of Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or Applied Optics/Optical Engineering or M.Sc or M.Sc(Tech) in the field of Applied Optics or Photonics with minimum thirteen years of experience in the relevant field.

Scientist 'E'

Bachelor Degree in B.E or B.Tech in the field of Mechanical or Production or Production & Industrial Engineering or Aeronautical Aerospace Engineering or Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding Electronics or Electrical or Electrical & Electronics or Electronics & Communication or Electronics & Telecommunication or Electronics & Control or Electronics & Instrumentation or Instrumentation or Instrumentation & Control Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering or Technology or Materials Science and Engineering or Materials Engineering with minimum ten years of experience in the relevant field.

Scientist 'D'

Bachelor Degree in B.E or B.Tech in the field of Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical or Production or Production & Industrial Engineering or Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communications or Electronic and Tele communication or Chemical Engineering with seven years of experience in the relevant field or M.Sc in the field of Physics or Chemistry or Material Science

Scientist 'C'

Master Degree in M.Sc in the field of Oceanography or Marine Geology or Marine Geophysics or Physics or Applied Physics or Bachelor Degree in B.E or B.Tech in the field of Electronics Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering or Applied Physics or Engineering Physics or Computer Science Engineering with minimum three years of experience in the relevant field.

Age Limit

• Scientist 'F'-Maximum 50 Years
• Scientist 'D'/'E'-Maximum 45 Years
• Scientist 'C'-maximum 35 Years.
